The Summer Selling Season
The summer selling season has a good runway from which to roll forward.
The 4 months from March to June showed a 2% increase in sales of previously owned homes and a 4% increase in condominiums. The June home sales figures were actually up 6%, though June condominium sales were off 4%.
The report was issued by the Southland Regional Association of Realtors.
According to the association’s president, the market is being affected by historically low interest rates on the one hand, and a short supply on the other.
Despite how competitive the market currently is for buyers, we (at Silverwood Properties) are having better than average success at getting buyers into a home, and more often than not, one they really like.
