Echo Park

Echo Park has become one of the hottest spots for Real Estate in all of Los Angeles County.

What’s up with that?

A few things, actually.

  • It has inextricable ties with the now hip and trendy North end of downtown, which features such recent developments as the Art District, the revitalization of Little Tokyo, the Art Walk, L.A. Live and everything surrounding the Nokia Theater and Staples Center.

Cool, eh?

  • Echo Park is the only neighborhood that is within shouting distance of downtown that has verdant rolling hills, abundant foliage, and lovely vintage homes many of which have been rehabbed and upgraded.
  • Artists, musicians, animators and artisans from every phase of the entertainment industry are flocking into Echo Park. They are embracing the environment and adding their own aesthetic flair to the creative atmosphere. This has lead to a blossoming of charming restaurants, hip nightclubs, quixotic shops, health food stores and an assortment of unique businesses that are now catering to the newly upscale homeowners and visitors from near and far.
  • Real Estate investors, many with a sharp eye to this demographic facelift, have become extremely active seeking to profit from the economic transformation before the word gets out. They are buying old single-family residences as well as small multi-family residences, sprucing them up or restoring their original character and charm. The properties are then being rented and providing handsome returns.  Others, however, are re-selling these tastefully rehabbed, retro vintage homes to what has become, a taste of Greenwich Village West.

Best,

Ken
